The Very Best Of Albert Hammond. Most of the material on this album is excellent. I bought the CD because I liked Free Electric Band and was pleasantly surprised by how many good tracks there were. I hadn't realised he was the writer of the Hollies hit Air That I Breathe. One or two songs are not quite to my taste, like I'm A Train.

But he sounds far more vulnerable than in his previous work. On the melancholy Set to Attack, he alludes to an unrequited love; on Far Away Truths, he longs for transparency with a partner ( Don’t tell me that I’ve seen enough/’Cause if I saw nothing why would I look twice ).
