After earning critical praise and local awards from The Tucson Weekly (including "Best Swing Band 1998", "Best Dressed Band 1998" and Best Live Performance 1998") Hipster Daddy-O emabarked on several national tours throughout 1998, 1999, and 2000, touring and playing shows with the bands Real Big Fish, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and The Aquabats.

Detroit quintet Handgrenades are on the cusp of releasing their sophomore album, and song for song, it’s one of the strongest underground indie rock releases of the year. In some ways, Tunnels is more an alternate debut album than a successor to 2012’s The Morning After. There’s a new lineup, with singer-songwriters Nick Chevillet and Andrew Pawelski and drummer Joby Kaslowski joined by fellow songwriter Jesse Shepherd-Bates and keyboardist Joel Sanders.

The Morning After was Maureen McGovern's first studio album, released in July 1973 (see 1973 in music). The album was released by popular demand following an Academy Award win for Best Song for "The Morning After", written by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn. After the song's subsequent rise up the Billboard Top 100 charts, the eponymous album was released, eventually peaking in September at on the Billboard Hot 200 list of popular albums.
