It's also the closest thing De La Soul have ever come to making a less-than-stunning LP. Maybe it's the contemporary production style that weakens songs like "U Can Do" and "I C Ya'll  . The year 2000 in hip hop was the Bling/Dirty South age when it went mainstream so bad. I can't hate on this album thus far, De La don't play that. EVER! This album is totally hip hop without being wack and corny.
