The discography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles and eight music downloads. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bass player John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented rock and often refused to release popular songs as singles.

Led Zeppelin's second album was recorded during the precious little downtime they had on their endless 1969 world tour. It took them months to record in studios all across America and Europe, yet somehow it sounds cohesive. The track listing almost reads like a greatest hits collection: "Whole Lotta Love," "Thank You," "Heartbreaker," "What Is And What Should Never Be" and "Bring It On Home.

Led Zeppelin is the debut album by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on 12 January 1969 in the United States and on 31 March in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in September and October 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, shortly after the band's formation. It contains a mix of original material worked out in the first rehearsals, and remakes and rearrangements of contemporary blues and folk songs

Best Led Zeppelin Albums. Nickname No compliation or live albums, just the 9 studio albums. Led Zeppelin 4 was great by some means, but more polished and either perfect. For their 5th, they didn't follow the same pattern. Hell no, they made a perfect blend of jazz, acoustic rock, folk, hard rock and reggae, all collapsing leaving a wonderful explosion of personallity Personallity, I think that if the Song Houses of the holy, replaced the Crunge, then It Will be my favourite album ever. However, it's not the case, so It lies at third position. This album was important for Led Zeppelin, this album showed that they could play other music. That Jimmy Page played an acoustic just as good as an electric. This album showed the world that they weren't just some rock band, it showed that they were capable of other types of music.

With Led Zeppelin, the albums were always the thing. Their legacy, unlike Jimmy Page's antecedent group the Yardbirds, was built not on singles but on longform statements of purpose. To honor them, we've ranked their nine studio albums from worst to best. Led Zeppelin's legend grew over an extended arc, as the foursome of Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham constructed a new alchemy from the rock-solid foundation of roots music. In fact, this determinedly album-oriented band's catalog continues to yield intriguing new insights, as you'll see in the following list of Led Zeppelin's albums ranked from worst to best.
