Tinted Windows is the eponymous debut album of the American supergroup, Tinted Windows. Tinted Windows was formed in New York City and consists of guitarist James Iha, previously of The Smashing Pumpkins and A Perfect Circle, singer Taylor Hanson of Hanson, bassist Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and Ivy, and Cheap Trick's Bun E. Carlos. The album was recorded at Stratosphere Sound Studios in New York, which Schlesinger and Iha co-own with Ivy's Andy Chase.
Schlesinger relies on this gift somewhat on Tinted Windows, but for as tradition-bound as this album is, it's not self-consciously retro: it's a balanced collaboration, its melodies bearing the indelible stamp of both Hanson and Schlesinger, while its music is colored by Iha's saturated '70s guitars and pinned down by Carlos' tight rhythms

Although the roster of the newly formed act Tinted Windows is a bit of a e Hanson brother Taylor Hanson, Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, former Smashing Pumpkin James Iha and Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos-it all seems to make sense after one listen to the supergroup's self-titled debut.
