This is THROBBING GRISTLE at their effective best - combining ostensibly calm, warm ripples of sound with cold, clinical ice-pick-sharp shards of noise. weaving a tapestry of chill terror around itself, swathing itself in the sweat-soaked clothing of the terminally sick. Urge To Kill" comes next, a plunging, churningly simple rhythmic piece through which GENESIS half-shouts, half-speaks his words, splicing something as innocuous as Humpty Dumpty with his tales of violent murder. Next up comes another from the GOLDSMITHS COLLEGE London, this one from a 13th March 1980 gig - "Russ".
