There no doubt exists a school of rock purists who consider Invisible Touch the album where Genesis officially kissed street credibility goodbye and said hello to beer commercial anthems and puppet extravaganza videos. True, perhaps, but on the other hand, it's great to sing along to a good pop song, too.

The "Invisible Touch" album is represented here with several songs which sound better played live. Drummer Chester Thompson again shines in this concert, and Daryl Stuermer plays the bass in several songs while Mike Rutherford plays the guitar. In general the band sounds very good. Phil Collins& is very present, too. But in this tour Mike Rutherford left behind his double necked bass-and-12 string guitar. Genesis at the height of their commercial success. This concert was recorded at Wembley stadium (of course) induring their Invisible Touch tour in 1988. A friend gave me this DVd and I must say it took me quite a long, long time to finally have the patience to watch it. Yes, patience, since I had already their double DVD The Way We Walk that has a much better tracklist.

Invisible Touch is, without a doubt, Genesis' poppiest album, a sleek, streamlined affair built on electronic percussion and dressed in synths that somehow seem to be programmed, not played by Tony Banks. In that sense, it does seem a bit like No Jacket Required, and the heavy emphasis on pop tunes does serve the singer, not the band, but it's not quite fair to call this a Collins album, and not just because there are two arty tunes that could have fit on its predecessor, Genesis.
