Oceania, Meridian" was, and still is, my favourite release from them, not to mention one of my favourite releases full stop. Andrew Byrne & Christian Parkinson would go on to compose a great many awesome tracks, both together and separately, but this represents some of their earlier work together, and both sides of this vinyl are outstanding. Nestling comfortably amidst the epic house movement, theses tracks are atmospheric, melodic, well produced and just designed to give you a rush on the dance floor

Top tune, I like the Damion Shaker movers and shakers Man City via Ribchester dub mix, the one on acetate limited edition but unfortunately never got released due to uncleared sample of 4 Hero Mr Kirk. It was an east Lancashire DJ called Freejack who cocked it all up (too much speed) . I told him to get advise from a guy called Gerald (Acid House Pioneer) but he misheard and got Ian Simpson (Jungle Pioneer from East Longridge) instead of Gerald Simpson. The rest is history. Then the Guild Tavern shut down forever.

The Generis label may have been short lived, but it provided some stellar releases during it's period of activity."Oceania / Meridian" was, and still is, my favourite release from them, not to mention one of my favourite releases full stop. As a point of reference, they are quite similar in sound to the kind of stuff that Paul Van Dyk (ably assisted by Johhny Klimek!) was churning out around the same time, so if you're into that, and haven't heard this, then I would strongly recommend seeking this release out, you won't be disappointed.
