Hole was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989. It was founded by singer and guitarist Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson. It had several different bassists and drummers, the most prolific being drummer Patty Schemel, and bassists Kristen Pfaff (d. 1994) and Melissa Auf der Maur.

The discography of Hole, a Los Angeles-based American alternative rock band, consists of four studio albums, one compilation album, three extended plays, and twenty-one singles. Hole was formed in 1989 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Courtney Love and lead guitarist Eric Erlandson. The band went through a number of line-up changes before recruiting bassist Jill Emery and drummer Caroline Rue in early 1990.

The Band is the second studio album by the Band, released on September 22, 1969. It is also known as The Brown Album. According to Rob Bowman's liner notes for the 2000 reissue, The Band has been viewed as a concept album, with the songs focusing on people, places and traditions associated with an older version of Americana.

Down in a Hole" is a power ballad by Alice in Chains, and the fifth and last single from their album Dirt (1992).
