Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr (the last word visually rendered as ) is a career-spanning best-of compilation album by Ringo Starr and is the first such album since the releases of 1975's Blast from Your Past and 1989's Starr Struck: Best of Ringo Starr, Vol. 2. The album was released in the UK on 27 August 2007, and in the US on 28 August. The release of the new collection coincided with the reissue of Starr's first four solo albums for EMI, in digital format, on 28 August 2007.

Produced by Richard Perry. Every time I see your face It reminds me of the places we used to go But all I've got is a photograph And I realise you're not coming back any more. I thought I'd make it The day you went away But I can't make it 'Til you come home again to stay-yi-yay-yi-yay. I can't get used to living here While my heart is broke, my tears I cried for you I want you here to have and hold As the years go by and we grow old and grey. Photograph was a major international hit for Ringo Starr, charting in 10 different countries, including hitting in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Co-written by Starr and his former band-mate, George Harrison. Harrison also appeared on the track, playing guitar and singing backing vocals. Photograph" Track Info. Photograph (Ringo Starr song). Photograph" is a song by English musician Ringo Starr that was released as the lead single from his 1973 album Ringo. Starr co-wrote the song with George Harrison, his former bandmate from the Beatles.

Hard as it is to believe but there has not been a proper Ringo Starr hits collection since the first, 1975's Blast from Your Past - that's not counting 1989's Starr Struck: Best of Ringo Starr, Vol. 2, which was designed as a companion to that earlier set - until 2007's Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo.

Ken from Louisville, KyWhen this reached on the Billboard chars, John sent Ringo a funny telegram: "Congratulations! How dare you? Please write a hit song for me!" John from Fort Worth, TxRingo Starr performed his memorable song on "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on Jan. 24, 2008. He also sang a wonderful new song he had recently written.

PHOTOGRAPH: THE VERY BEST OF RINGO STARR is the first comprehensive overview of Starr's solo career, and its 20 tracks reveal that his best solo material is genuinely great 1970s AM-radio pop. Kicking off with the stunning double-sided smash "It Don't Come Easy"/"Early 1970," Starr hit his creative apex with RINGO and GOODNIGHT VIENNA, both of which are liberally covered here along with the best tracks from his lesser-known later albums, including 1981's excellent "Wrack My Brain. 1 Photograph Ringo Starr 2:52. 2 Sentimental Journey.
