Out There is a compilation album by the American rock band Love, released in 1988 on Big Beat Records (ACE records). None of the lyrics sound too awkward. The sound is sort of a fusion of early Toto, Billy Joel, and maybe the Doobies? I dunno, but it's an anomaly for sure, Kayo Police. They were experimenting with various sounds and styles and stripping down some of the production after doing 3 back to back albums that had major production time put into them. The band confirmed that this song was inspired/influenced by Boyz II Men. The whole Slang album is an underrated masterpiece, should have been even more successful than Hysteria as far as I'm concerned.
