Freddy Martin was a bandleader and a Saxophonist that had a popular orchestra from the 1930s and 1940s. They had their first record on the Columbia label in 1932. In 1933 they switched to Brunswick and Vocalion but mostly stayed on Brunswick. It wasn't until 1938 that they would switch again, this time onto Bluebird, and they would stay there until 1942 when they changed to Victor, they stayed on Victor for a long time with a few records on V-DIsc until they changed to RCA Victor in 1946 all the way until 1956. They had some big hits over the years including To Each His Own in 1946, The Dickey Bird Song in 1948, Why Don't We Do This More Often? In 1941, Symphony in 1946, Laura in 1945, I Met Her On Monday in 1942, and I Couldn't Believe My Eyes in 1935.
