long-time sigur rós collaborators alex somers and paul corley dive deep into the band’s catalogue to mine nuggets of pure ambient pleasure. drawing from the ( ), valtari and kveikur albums, the pair take both familiar and obscure moments and massage them into brand new blissed out states.

liminal is much more than an ambient sigur rós mixtape curated by Jónsi, Alex Somers and Paul Corley, liminal views sigur rós as an eco-system. it identifies the connections and blurs the boundaries between work done and work to come; between brand new music and ideas barely yet nascent; between songs written 20 years ago and collaborations to be made tomorrow

Sigur Rós are an Icelandic avant-rock band from Reykjavík, active since 1994. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi's falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar, the band's music incorporates classical and minimal aesthetic elements. Jón Þór "Jónsi" Birgisson (guitar and vocals), Georg Hólm (bass) and Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson (drums) formed the group in Reykjavík in January 1994

I’ve got that copy. If you’ve a different copy willing to consider a trade. I can send a photo, only played twice!

Hopefully we see a re-issue that's for the not so privileged, who don't have hundreds of bucks to blow on a super limited festival release...
Wrathmaster
They are doing a release for Record Store Day of this. "obviously" also limited but easier to get
Matty
I bought the other 3 while at Nordur og Nidur, I should have picked this one up as well.

This is one of the better albums of the series in my opinion. Great remixes of great songs, as if you're half asleep and someone is playing Sigur Ros in the background and it's mixing with your dreams.
