A trailer park is a temporary or permanent area for mobile homes and travel trailers. Advantages include low cost compared to other housing, and quick and easy moving to a new area, for example when taking a job in a distant place while keeping the same home. Trailer parks, especially in American culture, are stereotypically viewed as lower income housing for occupants living at or below the poverty line who have low social status and lead a desultory and deleterious lifestyle

Not my normal QUEEN OF THE TRAILER PARK. I can sum this book up in two words- oddly entertaining. Rosie who goes by the name of CriCri survives in a very dysfunctional life. Rosie picks up kids, rich. benefactors, police boyfriends, friends, money, in an effort to keep her trailer and the kids in food and diapers.

This is the story of a girl who broke free from a trailer-park life - and found love in a dark place - a girl who believed in the country America used to be, the glory and magic of the open road and the joy of being a teenager on the run from the law - with a lust for the impossible. San Diego singer-songwriter Teresa Gunn, who performs her annual one-woman show on July 6, 2013 at San Diego City College's Saville Theater, is an artist with a mission!

Gunn's gritty, autobiographical "Trailer Park Queen" series of songs and verse rings true because she doesn't try to sanitize the events that shaped her.

Teresa Gunn has been in the music industry for more than 30 years, touring and performing throughout the United States. A singer and songwriter, Teresa is also a story teller, Spoken Word performance artist and social activist. During the 1980's Teresa performed in clubs, theatres and colleges in the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Baltimore areas. During this time she made a name for herself as a true original, recording albums on several renegade labels. Teresa started in clubs like the now famous 9:30 Club in Washington, DC and her music became popular on the legendary, and recently resurrected, alternative music station WHFS in Baltimore, Maryland. She was also a two time nominee for "Best Original Female Rock n Roll Artist" at the annual WAMMIES (WAMA Washington Area Music Awards). In 1990 she returned to her hometown of San Diego, signed to an independent record label (Lobe Candy) and began to write and perform her one woman show "Trailer Park Queen."

In 1998 Teresa turned her artistry into social action through the founding of Musicians for Education, a collective of artists of the same heart and vision. She developed an original music program called "Street of Dreams". Street of Dreams has become a fully accredited high school to college bridge program for kids who are trapped in the juvenile justice system due to the generational effects of drug addiction, alcoholism and poverty. The children served by Street of Dreams come from homelessness, incarceration and foster care. Gunn's devotion to providing creative and educational support to children in the "system" has produced a highly innovative and successful arts- education mod
