Szilárd Mezei, born February 12th, 1974 in Senta, Serbia (then Yugoslavia) as a member of the Hungarian minority in the multiethnic region of Vojvodina. This third album presents 5 interconnected works of subtle and impressive technique as the two string players trade approaches in a fascinating conversation that ranges from lyrically quiet passages to frenzied moments of extreme activity. Nothing is frenetic about the way they play, but there seems to be an exuberantly seething quality hiding behind their quiet passages, that come out in wonderfully energetic yet articulate ways.
