Alien (Atari 2600), a 1982 maze game based on the 1979 film. Alien (1984 video game), based on the film. Aliens (1990 video game), a game by Konami, based on the sequel of the film. Alien: Isolation, a 2014 video game based on the Alien science fiction horror film series.

Alien is a 1984 top-down adventure video game developed by Concept Software and published by Argus Press Software for the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. It is based on the film of the same name. A version for the Amstrad CPC was also released in 1985. The entire game takes place aboard the Nostromo, which is viewed from a top-down perspective displaying the layout of the vessel.
Alien, Atari 2600 (1982): Fox Video Games made the first leap into licensing the Alien property for video games with what was essentially a Pac-Man clone skinned with elements from the 1979 film. Drones could be killed by shooting them with a flamethrower or collecting symbols that would stun them (flashing dots).
Alien' PC games and games on other consoles have failed for years. Aliens is exactly the kind of sci-fi action nightmare that deserves to be adapted into crazy, spooky video games. Unfortunately, most of the Xenomorph games over the years have been a huge disaster. Let’s take a look at the long, slow evolution of bringing slimey acid-monsters from digital jokes to digital nightmares.
Video games have done the same thing, and given players the opportunity to interact with and murder (mostly murder) other sentient species as well. I’ve picked a few good examples, and a few not-so-good which embody the do’s and dont’s of creature design and backstory. Good: Turians (Mass Effect). To me, the Turian is the pinnacle of cool alien design, be it in a video game or even a film or TV show. It’s menacing without being pure evil, strong without being a caricature.
