The Fake Sound of Progress Lyrics.

Complete your Lostprophets collection. I guess sometimes you've got to separate the artist from the art, and I still enjoy listening to this album despite the utterly despicable acts of the monster Ian Watkins. Reply Notify me Helpful.

The Fake Sound of Progress also included the addition of DJ Stepzak, who would remain with the band for around a year. During this time, Kerrang! published a "world exclusive" article on Lostprophets, revealing the album's title, and its release date of January 2010. In a later interview with Kerrang in early 2009, Watkins stated that the record was "the most honest album" the band has ever done, and that overall the record was "a lot grittier and sleazier", while also stating.

The Fake Sound of Progress (stylized as ss) is the debut studio album by the Welsh rock band Lostprophets, originally released on 27 November 2000 through Visible Noise. I immediately went and got their album, The Fake Sound Of Progress. It took me on a musical journey that I have never come back from. Every song on the album sounded different, but each song is amazing in it's own way. "Shinobi Vs Dragon Ninja"'s introduction riff is pretty much what made me want to start playing guitar. Ian Watkins vocals were unfathomably catchy, they would get stuck in my head for days at a time. The album ends on the extraordinary "Ode To Summer". Lostprophets have always been able to make up a very catchy guitar riff right at the beginning of the song, and the one at the beginning of this song is definitely a highlight. There is some "rapping" in this song in a sense, thus making people classify them as "Nu-Metal". The song has some pretty good scratching in the middle, and ends with a ridiculously catchy ending chorus.

Lostprophets are to nu metal what Bush was to grunge: Both are British groups that approximate the overall sound of those respective genres, both arrived right at the point said genres started to reach a critical mass, and both artists had vocalists who convincingly aped influential singers who came before them.
