2007 sees Diamond Head complete a new studio album with engineer Dave 'Shirt' Nicholls. One of their strongest pieces of work to date, the album is due to be released later this year. In the meantime, the band have just embarked on an exciting European Tour that sees them taking the new material throughout the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany & Italy! 2016.

Plastics, or The Plastics, were a short-lived Japanese new wave music group prominent in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their music was a major influence on Japanese pop music and their songs have been covered by many bands, most notably Polysics, Pizzicato Five, and Stereo Total. Perhaps their greatest exposure came from their appearance on the late night comedy show SCTV on NBC performing "Top Secret Man"

Diamond Head are an English heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge, England. The band is recognised as one of the leading members of the new wave of British heavy metal movement and is acknowledged by thrash metal bands such as Metallica and Megadeth as an important early influence. Two working class teenagers from Stourbridge created the band in 1976. Brian Tatler & Duncan Scott formed the band with a biscuit tin drum kit and borrowed guitar in Brian's bedroom.

Diamond Head (Diamond Head album). Diamond Head is the seventh studio album by heavy metal band Diamond Head, released on 22 April 2016. This is the first album from the band to feature Rasmus Bom Andersen as the lead vocalist. Rasmus Bom Andersen – vocals. Brian Tatler – lead, rhythm guitar. Andy Abberley – rhythm, lead guitar. Eddie "Chaos" Moohan – bass.

Diamond Head’s first appearance was in 2003. While it was brilliant to be appearing on the True Metal Stage at this legendary festival, Diamond Head was not on form and nothing compared to the band now. All aboard the Coffin Train. Diamond Head will shine.

Diamond Head should have been huge, but perhaps this was their legacy, just to be one of the most important bands. Being the first doesn't always mean the best, but they certainly earned a place in metal history, and that's something particularly in metal that's hard to come by. Around the song "Shoot Out the Lights" I think it is, they pretty much start sounding like UFO and Thin Lizzy for the most part though on the version I have. I often try to imagine back in 1980 people hearing stuff by bands like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and Diamond Head, and wishing I could see the expressions on their face as they wonder "how do they do that?" And being a musician and wanting to learn to play like this was probably a daunting task to say the least.
