Gentlemen is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band The Afghan Whigs. It was released in October 1993 on Elektra Records/Sub Pop in America and Blast First in England, and was produced by Greg Dulli. Gentlemen was remastered and reissued on October 28, 2014, in celebration of the album's 21st anniversary

Tilmann Otto, better known by his stage name Gentleman, is a German reggae musician. Gentleman lives in the Neubrück area of Cologne. He is the son of a Lutheran pastor and the father of two children, named Samuel and Tamica. He is married to Tamika, a background singer of the Far East Band, which has been supporting him since his first concert tour of Germany in 2002.

While Gentlemen is no monolith, it is very much of a piece at the start. The album truly comes into its own with "When We Two Parted," though, as sad countryish guitars chime over a slow crawling rhythm and Dulli's detailing of an exploding relationship.
