Are You From Dixie? B8.

The Dixie Chicks are an American country music group composed of Natalie Maines, along with Emily Robison and Martie Maguire, who are sisters. Their discography comprises seven studio albums, two live albums and 25 singles.

Dixie Chicken is the third studio album by the American rock band Little Feat, released in 1973. The artwork for the front cover was by illustrator Neon Park and is a reference to a line from the album's third track, the song "Roll Um Easy". The album is considered their landmark album with the title track as their signature song that helped further define the Little Feat sound.

A new Dixie Chicks album would give country radio a moment of reckoning – do they settle the score, and play whatever new single the Chicks are offering? Surely, working with Antonoff (who has produced albums for Lorde and Swift), it will be radio friendly. Look no further than Pride Month for an example of the evolving progress of mainstream country music: Morris, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Jake Owen and Lindsay Ell are just some of the major country artists who spoke out as allies – artists who have all had songs at country radio at one point or another.

It's been over a decade since the Dixie Chicks released their last album, Taking the Long Way, but it appears as though Natalie Maines, Emily Robison and Martie Maguire may be gifting fans with new music sooner rather than later. The first shows musician Emily Strayer's leg from the perspective of the floor. We call this banjo calf," Maines writes before telling Strayer she's looking good. She also uses the telling hashtag ".

There are about 5-7 more in various stages of completion, but at the rate I am working, its better to get ‘something’ out. I think the set holds together well and matches a nice attention span of about 30 minutes or so. Its a combination of electronic and organic, with tons of arranging and attention to detail if you care to listen closely. Lots of cool bass lines and some classic big synth and sequencing going on as well
