Country USA St. Elmo’s Fire was formed in 1979 by Jeff Jones and singer Tim Raynor-Allwein in Citrus Heights California. The original lineup also included Steve Raynor on bass and Alan Kreutzer on drums. By 1990 the band added bassist Aaron Smith and soon recorded the Jeff Jones written and produced Powerdrive. Songs like Gonna Get Wild, Isolation and I Need Your Touch continued the sci-fi theme of a futuristic society. The band toured for most of 1990 and 1991.
