Bi-Polar is the fourth studio album by Vanilla Ice. Released by Ultrax Records, it is the rapper's second independent release, after Hooked. The song "Unbreakable" was remade for Dance Dance Revolution II as "Still Unbreakable", with additional verses from Vanilla Ice himself and production from Konami in-house artist Des-ROW. The album was initially planned as a double album consisting of one disc of rock music (Skabz) and one disc of hip hop music (Bomb Tha System)

Recall is something else, a nightmarish techy roller that pulls you in by the scruff of your neck and commands you to move. I can't help being reminded of the movie Alien when listening to it, the paranoid energy just seems like the perfect soundtrack to Ripley running her ass off from the xenomorph. Brilliant. The other tracks are fantastic as well, but the a side steals the show for me personally.*Edit* Quite disgusted with myself for glossing over the D side: Bi_Polar, a pitch dark, unhinged creeper of a track that easily equals Recall in atmosphere, whilst being intense in a far subtler - and possibly more menacing manner. Very reminiscent of Konflict / Kemal & Rob Data from this era (as was a lot of Sinthetix' output), this puts you in mind of some kind of deserted, outer space, underwater laboratory, with sounds that invoke feelings of deep isolation and dread...that is of course until you're caught off guard by a very sneaky, brilliantly done switch for the second drop as the anxiety ramps up because surprise surprise, the laboratory is infested with facehuggers! Bi_Polar indeed, Sinthetix. So yes, big, big EP. Nightmares have never sounded better.
