Whiskeytown - Pneumonia album flac

Pneumonia is the third and final studio album by the alternative country band Whiskeytown, released on May 22, 2001 on Lost Highway Records. The album is noted for its troubled history which saw the band lose its record deal in the midst of the merger between Polygram and Universal Music Group, and the already volatile band fell apart as a result. The album sat on the shelf for nearly two years and it was said that over 100 songs were recorded during the 3 years

In their brief, volatile tenure as a working band-which spawned just two proper albums, Faithless Street (1995) and Strangers Almanac (1997)-Whiskeytown never quite fulfilled their considerable promise. But prior to their ultimate split, the band made a record that was buried for nearly three years by industry snafus. Pneumonia was well worth the wait. Whiskeytown's "Pneumonia" suffers from a lack of substantial songwriting- whereas they were going for more of a pop sound on this album, the brilliant melodies required of any great album just aren't there.

Pneumonia ‎(CD, Album). The album then begins to rise with "Don't Be Sad," a perfect little reflective rock song held aloft by an almost shoegazer-like rolling out of light electric picking. Sit and Listen to the Rain," with its mandolin and organic keyboards, will have you thinking . circa Out of Time- that is, until the halting, atmospheric chorus.
