The Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 1046–1051, original title: Six Concerts à plusieurs instruments) are a collection of six instrumental works presented by Bach to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt, in 1721 (though probably composed earlier). They are widely regarded as some of the best orchestral compositions of the Baroque era.

Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester Pforzheim (The South-West German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim) was founded in 1950 by Friedrich Tilegant, a student of Paul Hindemith, and is based in the City Stadt Pforzheim, Southwest Germany. The orchestra was directed by Paul Angerer from 1971 to 1981, by Vladislav Czarnecki since 1986, by Sebastian Tewinkel from 2002 to 2013 and by Timo Handschuh since 2013/2014.
