The Rolling Stones' 1971 UK Tour was a brief concert tour of England and Scotland that took place over three weeks in March 1971. The Stones had not staged a tour proper in their homeland since autumn 1966. Now they were going out after having announced on the day of their first show that they were becoming tax exiles and decamping to the South of France, which they did shortly after finishing the tour. As a result, this tour was also called the Good-Bye Britain Tour or formulations thereof.

The English rock group The Rolling Stones has released 30 studio albums, 26 live albums, 25 compilation albums, three extended play singles, and 120 singles. The early albums and singles released from 1963 to 1967 were originally on Decca Records in the United Kingdom, and on their subsidiary label London Records in the United States. It was common practice in the music industry, prior to 1967, for British releases to be reconfigured for the American market

To reach the Rolling Stones‘ plush new London office you step into an ancient lift which looks not unlike the Tardis – and takes off with the same startling disregard of gravity. Once upstairs, we were greeted, not by Dr. Who, but by Mick Jagger, seated at a conference table dressed in brown corduroy jacket, pink frilled shirt, green trousers and black shoes. It’s a driving, bluesy piece with just the five Stones – easily their most commercial single in quite a while

The Rolling Stones gave their first performance at the Marquee Club in London on July 12, 1962. At the time, the group consisted of Jagger, Richards, Jones, pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Mick Avory, and Dick Taylor, who had briefly returned to the fold. Weeks after the concert, Taylor left again and was replaced by Bill Wyman, formerly of the Cliftons. The Stones supported Tattoo You with an extensive stadium tour captured in Hal Ashby's movie Let's Spend the Night Together and the 1982 live album Still Life. Tattoo You proved to be the last time the Stones completely dominated the charts and the stadiums. The resulting Shine a Light, which included guest appearances from Buddy Guy, Jack White, and Christina Aguilera, was released in theaters in 2008. The accompanying soundtrack reached the number two spot on the .

Since the Rolling Stones released their last studio album, A Bigger Bang, in September 2005, the group seems to have been working full throttle - mostly as a road act playing packed stadiums. In the ensuing years, the Stones have been on five elaborate tours, bringing their blues-powered, two-hour-plus set list - made up mostly of hits, from opening numbers like Jumpin’ Jack Flash and Start Me Up to the closing encore (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction - to an array of countries: New Zealand, Israel, Abu Dhabi, Mexico, Norway, Japan, the United States
