The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first stable line-up consisted of bandleader Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica, keyboards), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Bill Wyman (bass), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ian Stewart (piano). Stewart was removed from the official line-up in 1963 but continued to work with the band as a contracted musician until his death in 1985.

European Tour 1973 (LP, Unofficial). European Tour 1973 (LP, Unofficial).

The Rolling Stones' US Tour 1978 was a concert tour of the United States that took place during June and July 1978, immediately following the release of the group's 1978 album Some Girls. Like the 1972 and 1975 . tours, Bill Graham was the tour promoter. One opening act was Peter Tosh, who was sometimes joined by Mick Jagger for their duet "Don't Look Back".

The Rolling Stones is the debut album by the Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. The album is included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

From the beginning, the Rolling Stones have also made an extraordinary number of memorable albums including The Rolling Stones, Now!, Out of Our Heads, December’s Children, Aftermath, Let It Bleed, and possibly their finest work to date, Exile on Main Street. The album has its playful moments but its most characteristic instant is Charlie Watts’s first drumbeat on It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll.

The Rolling Stones are planning to release a new album, possibly this year, guitarist Ronnie Wood said Monday. The British rockers last released a studio album in 2005, but Wood said they have been in the studio and recorded some new material and some blues covers. The Rolling Stones, which started as a blues band in 1962, just wrapped a tour of Latin America with a free show in Cuba on March 25.

The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year’s Some Girls album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the Some Girls album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the N. spot on the US charts. The tour took a back to basics approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging.
