Kiss My Ass: Classic Kiss Regrooved is a 1994 tribute album, featuring a variety of artists covering songs by the American rock band Kiss. Released to coincide with Kiss' 20th anniversary, the album was certified gold by the RIAA, and spent 13 weeks on the charts. Cover Design and Art Direction by Mitchell Kanner.

Though it went gold, the album appealed neither to die-hard Kiss fans nor to pop radio listeners. Detroit Rock City" as performed by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones was the first song released as a single. This album almost developed into something totally different. When Simmons was first discussing this album, he mentioned quite a few bands that never made it onto the final version due to legal entanglements; these artists included Mozart, Dramarama, the Melvins, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Kurt Cobain, Thurston Moore, and Ozzy Osbourne. Kiss My Ass: Classic Kiss Regrooved was also first envisioned as a double album with one disc of cover versions and a second disc of original Kiss recordings.

Not the biggest fan of Kiss here, but really like most of their music, just not heavy rotation on player. I like country music, too, so it is a pleasure to say Garth Brooks version of "Hard Luck Woman" steals the focus off many of them. The album has it's delightfully strange moments, as well.
