THE Salvation Army's International Staff Band (ISB) celebrated 120 years of mission and ministry in London, UK, with a weekend of spectacular events featuring eight Salvation Army staff bands from around the world. Salvationists, friends and tourists braved inclement weather to watch the eight bands – International, Amsterdam, Canadian, Chicago, German, Japan, Melbourne and New York Staff Bands – march and then play a concert in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace – a privilege rarely granted by Her Majesty the Queen.
This weekend at Bromley Salvation Army, we welcomed the SA's premier brass band, the International Staff Band (ISB) of the Salvation Army. visit to Bromley (we think - no one can actually remember for sure and as the ISB have existed for nearly as long as the Salvation Army has been going in Bromley, I'm not sure we'll ever really know!). This is a great band and they presented an excellent concert to a packed hall on Saturday evening and conducted two services on Sunday, the second being in the form of a short concert .
