Ragged Glory is the 18th studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, and his sixth album with the band Crazy Horse. It was released by Reprise Records on September 9, 1990. Ragged Glory sessions took place in April 1990 at Young's Broken Arrow ranch. The band played a set of songs twice a day for a couple of weeks (never repeating the same songs in a set), then went back, listened and chose best takes.

Their gritty style of rock has influenced countless artists and music styles. Crazy Horse is best known for its long association with Young, despite having released five albums of its own over a 19-year span.

Prior to its release, Greendale received more attention than any Neil Young album in years, but it wasn't positive. Young hauled out his concept album - about an extended family in a small town called Greendale, and how they're torn apart by a murder - to unsuspecting audiences, who by and large were not happy about spending anywhere from 55 to 85 dollars to hear a dense convoluted song cycle, complete with rambling narrative from Young, for the first. hour of the show and not hearing many hits in the remainder of the set.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse Announce Tour. The album is expected in the fall, but no release date or title have been announced. Sampedro, who resides in Hawaii, says he's been back and forth to Young's ranch and studio for more sessions when the moon is full, which is Young's preferred time to record. We'll work five or six, seven days, then I'll just fly home," he explains, with Young, drummer Ralph Molina and bassist Billy Talbot handling "production stuff" between sessions.

The album was released on Reprise in 1975, number MS-2242. This is the original release of the album. Crazy horse (neil young) w/ry cooder~first album~rare orig'71 reprise lp~nr mint. 1969 Reprise Records Neil Young with Crazy Horse "Ever body Knows This Is Nowhere" Vinyl LP Record Album.

Young, Neil - DVD Collector's Box. Neil Young. The film focuses on Neil Young's long-time association with his favourite musical collaborators 'Crazy Horse' and spans a couple of decades, as the musicians work, drink, play and most important of all, perform. The film is sometimes very patchy 16 mm, but the ragged edge and graininess just seems to accentuate the raw power of Neil Young, as he pushes songs like 'Hurricane' to new heights.
