Point is the debut album of American alternative metal band Chevelle, released May 4, 1999. It is the only Chevelle album released by Squint Entertainment and their only collaboration with producer Steve Albini. The album featured a notable single in its title track but achieved only minor success, especially compared to Chevelle's major label follow-up in 2002.

Chevelle has sold over four million albums in the United States. The band's first studio album, Point was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment. Chevelle's second album, Wonder What's Next (2002), was certified Platinum by the RIAA after a debut at No. 14 on the United States albums chart, Billboard 200. Chevelle is the newest band to release an album for Steve Taylor's own label, Squint. Three brothers, Joe, Pete, and Sam Loeffler make up this hard rock band from Chicago. The band plays solidly together, but fail to offer up material that reflects the band's full potential. Their debut album, Point starts off with the instrumental track "open" which begins with a riff that continues into the next song, "point By the time the two songs are over, almost 6 and a half minutes later, the riff is overused and monotonous, where, if used only in the 1st song for.

This album was only sold In Christian book stores and Chevelle won a Dove award.
