The Wall is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd, released 30 November 1979 on Harvest and Columbia Records. A rock opera, its story explores Pink, a jaded rockstar whose eventual self-imposed isolation from society is symbolised by a wall. The record was a commercial success, charting at number one in the US for 15 weeks, and number three in the UK.

Pink Floyd are a CAS favourite for obvious reasons. Many of their albums are composed as a coherent thematic piece that compliments the album format.
In 1980 and 1981, Pink Floyd staged The Wall as a live tour featuring elaborate theatrical effects; a live album from the tour, Is There Anybody Out There?, was released in 2000. Some of the album’s themes would be continued in the band’s next album, The Final Cut (1983), which also contains some outtakes from The Wall. By 1999, the album had sold over 23 million RIAA-certified units (1. million albums), making it the third-highest certified album in the US.
Milestone album by Pink Floyd 1979. If one more song should have been on the album it would have been necessary to comprise on the technical quality. Empty Spaces' was originally a short reprise of 'What Shall We Do Now?'.

Notes
comes with a piece of paper with the track listing and pretty bad typos like 'The Trail'. 1st record has a black label, the other 2 say creative artistry and small talk with a track listing close to titles of the wall and out of order like 'old lust' and 'momma'no mention of date or place of the show but i looked it up and it says
