The Game – The Documentary reads like it’s a film about the rap music industry (commonly called ‘the game’), and perhaps this is on purpose. The Game documents the industry and the classic artists and albums that he loves, while still continuing the West Coast gangster theme. He wants to be recognized as an aspiring artist in the world of hip-hop and thanks those that have excelled the culture to where it is now. The Game’s talent combined with the excellent production on this album propels him to the top of his ability, and also helps revitalize the West Coast  . Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name The Game (or simply Game), is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is best known as a rapper in the West Coast hip hop scene and for being one of Dr. Dre's signees under Aftermath. Born in Compton, California, he released his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002; shortly after, he was signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath label.

Queen had long been one of the biggest bands in the world by 1980's The Game, but this album was the first time they made a glossy, unabashed pop album, one that was designed to sound exactly like its time. They might be posed in leather jackets on the cover, but they hardly sound tough or menacing - they rarely rock, at least not in the gonzo fashion that's long been their trademark. Gone are the bombastic orchestras of guitars and with them the charging, relentless rhythms that kept Queen grounded even at their grandest moments.

Golczewski’s album The Signal is an album I wish I had made. Burning Witches Records - I’ve never ever been dedicated to a record label before, but these guys put out the BEST stuff. Barely played the game, but I’ve listened to the soundtrack a number of times. AdhesiveWombat - I’ll never be able to match the energy of this dude’s music, but he’s a chiptune artist that I’m always just itching to hear more from. Toby Fox - Last but not least, I’ve gotta throw the Undertale soundtrack in here. Like Cosmo D, seeing someone single handedly create a game and soundtrack REALLY motivates me, because it’s something I’d love to accomplish one day. Plus this OST is just full of jams.
