Vlad Tepes - Wladimir's March. 2. Vlad Tepes - Massacre Song from the Devastated Lands. 3. Vlad Tepes - In Holocaust to the Natural Darkness. 4. Vlad Tepes - Drink the Poetry of the Celtic Disciple. The Belkètre side is a re-release of their eponymous demo, recorded in autumn 1994 and previously only released as a self-produced tape. Bootlegged by Tragic Empire with slightly different artwork (catalogue TE007). Track 12 is misspelt on this release, spelt "Last Sign of God". There exists a double LP version with Embassy Productions insignia on the vinyls, limited to 250 copies. This is a bootleg; its origin is unknown. On the reissue, the tracklisting printed in the booklet accidentally omits the song "Diabolical Reaps" although it is still present on the actual CD.
Vlad Tepes starts the album with a short instrumental track. Normally, I’d refer to something like this as an intro, but this is one of the finest songs I’ve heard and deserves more respect then being mistaken for some ambient clip that should be skipped over. The standout tracks are: In Holocaust to the Natural Darkness, Vladmir’s March, Drink to the Poetry of Celtic Discipline (twelve minutes long, and it never gets old) and Diabolical Reaps. The score for Vlad Tepes’ side is a 98. BELKETRE.
This split album between two of its leading bands is a rare exception and combines the punky, jammed-out sque attack of Vlad Tepes and the utterly hateful and disturbing sounds of Belkètre. Dissection – Storm Of The Light’s Bane (Nuclear Blast, 1995). While Sweden’s Dissection were very much black metal in terms of ideology and atmosphere, they also featured noticeable elements of the melodic death metal movement exploding in their home country, as well as classic ‘80s heavy metal.
Vlad Tepes - Wladimir's March Vlad Tepes - Massacre Song from the Devastated Lands Vlad Tepes - In Holocaust to the Natural Darkness Vlad Tepes - Drink the Poetry of the Celtic Disciple Vlad Tepes - Dans Notre Chute Vlad Tepes - Misery Fear & Storm Hunger Vlad Tepes - Diabolical Reaps Vlad Tepes - Under the Carpathian Yoke Belk tre - Guilty Belk tre - A Day Will Dawn Belk tre - Hate.
Opposing Vlad Tepes overtly melodic approach, Belketre’s raw, apocalyptic black metal assault during the March To The Black Holocausts’s second half is some of the best ever recorded to tape. With a noticeable dip in production values, opening track Guilty is a dissonant filled punch to the gut, brimming with blast beats and Lord Aäkon Këëtrëh’s distorted black metal screech. Despite the wonderful material produced by the Black Legions, the scene was unfortunately not meant to last, and the last album from the group was released in 1997. Known for its completely satanic worshipping ways, it’s doubtful that the Les Legions Noires will be forgotten, especially with records such as March To The Black Holocaust existing in its twisted discography. I know my Death will take place at the end of our circle that means the end of this world. Our souls are forever united.
