Anthony Philip Harford (born 19 April 1957), better known by his stage name Tony Martin, is a heavy metal vocalist, best known for his time fronting Black Sabbath, initially from 1987 to 1991 and again from 1993 to 1996. Martin was the band's second longest serving vocalist after Ozzy Osbourne. He has since been involved in many other projects (such as M3, Misha Calvin, The Cage, Giuntini Project, and Phenomena).

Alvin Morris (December 25, 1913 – July 27, 2012), known professionally as Tony Martin, was an American actor and popular singer. His career spanned over seven decades, and he scored dozens of hits between the late-1930s and mid-1950s with songs such as "Walk Hand in Hand", "Stranger in Paradise" and "I Get Ideas". He was married to actress and dancer Cyd Charisse for 60 years, from 1948 until her death in 2008.

The first time Tony Martin met Damian Cowell he had no idea who was inside the balaclava. Martin was on air with Mick Molloy at Fox FM in Melbourne when two members of techno-rock-satire troupe TISM arrived in full regalia for their scheduled interview. The radio comedians couldn't have known that the masked man identifying as Humphrey B. Flaubert was in fact a mild-mannered advertising copywriter from sister station Triple M, taking a sneaky break from his office cubicle downstairs. Heavenly partnership: Tony Martin and former TISM member Damian Cowell. They got in the cab and drove round to the front of the building, came up and did the interview, then he went downstairs again, got changed and went back to his desk.

Tony Martin may be his generation’s Last Man Standing, Stephen Holden wrote in The New York Times in January 2008. The occasion was a five-night engagement at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency in New York, where Mr. Martin sang his hits from half a century earlier while dropping names of colleagues he had outlived, like Bing Crosby and Perry Como. After a chorus or two of, say, The Very Thought of You, Mr. Martin would interject: Ray Noble, lovely guy.
