Hector Costita (born October 27, 1934) is a musician and composer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, he is one of the most famous flutist and saxophonist in Brazilian music. He performed and recorded with Lalo Schifrin, Manfredo Fest, Sérgio Mendes, Zimbo Trio, Hermeto Pascoal, and Elis Regina. Hector "Costita" Bisignani was born in 1934, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 1962, Costita recorded his first solo album for the same label, O Fabuloso Héctor. For Fermata, he recorded Impacto in 1962. Also in 1962, he recorded with Brazilian jazz pioneer and exceptional singer/pianist Dick Farney on Farney's RGE album Dick Farney Jazz. In 1963, Costita recorded on bassist Luiz Chaves's album Projeção, for RGE. In the next year, Chaves would create, together with pianist Hamilton Godoy and drummer Rubens Barsotti, the influental group Zimbo Trio (the same group was on Projeção).

Hector Costita Sexteto's Impacto, originally released in 1964. By the mid-1960s, samba and bossa nova were the exotic hip sounds of the time. João Gilberto had gained international popularity by blending American jazz and samba, and Sérgio Mendes was about to reach the Billboard Top 5 a few times. During his first years in Brazil he would play with artists such as João Donato, Manfredo Fest, and Sérgio Mendes (as part of Sexteto Bossa Rio), and also released a solo album: O Fabuloso Hector (1962). In 1964, Costita and his sextet recorded Impacto (Fermata) in São Paulo, an explosive mix of tough jazz and Brazilian samba in equal measure, widely considered his best work. The opening track "Le Roi" alone should be enough reason for any music lover to own this beautiful record, but the entire album is absolutely amazing.

Hector "Costita" Bisignani was born in 1934, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an Italian descendent and started studying music when he was 13 years old. The first instrument he learnt to play was clarinet. In 1962, he recorded his first album: O fabuloso Hector. In that decade, he used to presents himself as Don Junior. Despite of his solo career, Bisignani played in Sexteto Bossa Rio, with Sérgio Mendes, from 1962 to 1964. He also played with Dick Farney (1962), Manfredo Fest (1963) and Luiz Chaves (1963). In 1964, he recorded the album which is considered the main of his career: Impacto. In 1964, Bisignani moved to France to study in Music Conservatory of Paris.
