Sad Lovers & Giants ‎– Feeding The Flame. A very average vinyl reissue. I picked it up a very nice price, so I have no real regrets, but I would not recommend paying the prices for it I have seen some places selling it for. Pressed at GZ and one of their average efforts, not the great work they have done on some other things. No info on mastering or sources at all, I'm guessing this just used 16/44 files as the source. I'm guessing most of these "Radiation Reissues" are like this, no matter the band/album

Feeding the Flame is the second studio album by English post-punk band Sad Lovers & Giants. It was released in 1983 on the band's record label, Midnight Music. All lyrics written by Garce; all music composed by Simon Allard and Tristan Garel-Funk, except as noted. Trouser Press classified the album as "distressing".

Watford, England's Sad Lovers & Giants made few headlines but some strong LPs, arguably the best of which, and certainly the most somber, is this collection. Its deftly played and arresting post-punk songs are built around Tristan Garel-Funk and David Woods' subtle evocations of mood. Singer Garce Allard's voice is at once brittle-sounding but self-assured. Both factors complement the sophisticated musical structures of songs such as "Imagination" and "Sleep (Is for Everyone)

It's acceptable, but nothing amazing and not really an improvement over the CD reissues of the albums. If you can't find old Midnight Music pressings of these SLAG albums on vinyl, my recommendation is to simply buy the Cherry Red CD reissues. They did a nice job on those, and they all have bonus tracks from singles and EPs which can be challenging to track down in the wild. Sure, Mirror Test has been remixed by the band but if you want the original mix you can buy a FLAC version from the Pono Store and some other digital outlets.

True music masterpiece, surely one of the best Wave albums together with "Epic Garden Music".
