Wally Tax (born Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 14 February 1948; died 10 April 2005, also in Amsterdam) was a Dutch rock singer, songwriter and icon of the Dutch 1960s, best known as the long-haired frontman of Amsterdam's finest in sixties beat, The Outsiders. He also released solo records.

Wladimir "Wally" Tax (Dutch pronunciation: ; 14 February 1948 – 10 April 2005) was a Dutch singer and songwriter. He was founder and frontman of the Nederbeat group The Outsiders (1959–1969) and the rock group Tax Free (1969–1971) Tax performing for TV in 1968. The Outsiders reached a measure of success, opening up for The Rolling Stones in 1966 and scoring a number of hits in the Netherlands. They were one of the best-known bands of the Nederbeat movement - when they signed with Phonogram Records in 1968, Billboard reported on it. Leading what Billboard called "the leading Dutch beat group," Tax had a.

Featuring Wally Tax (vocals), Ronnie Splinter (guitar), Appie Rammers (bass guitar), Tom Krabbendam (guitar), Leendert "Buzz" Busch (drums), and Frank Beek (bass guitar 1968-1969), the band exemplified the "Nederbeat Sound", a raw, Dutch take on rock 'n' roll created in the wake of the 1960s British Invasion. The band disbanded, with Tax and Busch forming Tax Free, in the early 1970s, in . A reunion tour of the four original Outsiders took place in October 1997. Wally Tax died in 2005. The Outsiders are the subject of an official biography, Outsiders voor Insiders (1997), written in Dutch by Jerome Blanes; the English version Outsiders by Insiders was published in December 2009 by Misty Lane Books in Italy.

The name of Wally Tax can not be separated from The Outsiders, the illustrious Amsterdam beat band, which made international furore from 1966 to 1969. With The Entertainer delivers the charismatic singer again for the first time in years a full studio album. He is assisted by fans from the Amsterdam musicians world as guitarist Ross Curry (ex-Spo-Dee-O-Dee), bassist George oostdijk (ex-Jack Of Hearts), Robin Berlin (formerly of the Fatal Flowers), Jan Smit and Monique Klemann (Lois Lane). The production was in the hands of J.B. Meijers (ex-Supersub), which has found a balance between admirably on a harsh sixtiesgeluid of The Outsiders and a balanced sound quality. But most impression makes the voice of Tax, which with the passage of years just to eloquence has won.
