The Outrageous Sophie Tucker.
The Golden Jubilee Album is a wonderful tribute to the great Sophie Tucker. The liner notes include a fine essay about Sophie and her career; and the artwork is very well done. The Middle Age Mambo" is sure to make you laugh; it's so good! Overall, Sophie Tucker had quite a career-and much was still to come even when this was recorded. This excellent CD proves that Sophie Tucker had a talent that was completely irresistible; and we are better off for her sharing her gift with us.
