Child Of The Damned is the trademark of the album and it’s a fast-paced track with double-bass drums. Bear in mind that Child Of The Damned was covered by HammerFall in their debut album Glory To The Brave in 1997. The lyrics of Child Of The Damned reference the famous quote from John Milton's Paradise Lost whereby Satan claims it’s Better to rule in Hell than it is to serve in Heaven, as an open question
WARLORD-"Deliver Us" was originally released as a 12" EP(I consider it a mini-LP, or possibly even a short LP) by Metal Blade Records in early 1983, making it one of the earliest and rarest Metal Blade releases. Deliver Us" is stunningly ahead of its time and could be re-released today and sound just as fresh as it did in 1983. For those of you who wish to hear this brilliant material, there was a remastered CD(including the amazing track "Mrs. WARLORD are without a doubt one of the founding fathers of doomy power metal.
Deliver Us is such a release. The blistering songs hit the listener hard upon first listen and never lost their incredible edge. Compilation vinyls were a very significant item before the digital universe. Bought my copy of Deliver Us in 1990 just by the name when it was in a record store, though I forget the price it was. I did not spotlight the song just because it was how I discovered Warlord however, it’s also the darkest song, lyrically, in the bands catalogue
