Tom Morris, or T E Morris as he prefers to be called, is an atypical singer-songwriter and an ambitious performer, well known also as the leader of the famous post rock band Her Name is Calla. When night comes he is a solo musician and from 2012 - when his first work An Ocean is Enough to Love was released - to date he has been really productive: nine EPs, two full length albums and a film soundtrack are the proofs of that. The album starts with the title track that in its six minutes displays the magic that Tom is able to create with his guitar. The Long Distance Runner’ has an intimate sound that speaks to the soul and the guitar playing is great. Towards the end he adds also soft strings and the outcome is a stunning arrangement. For the realization of this album Tom avails himself of the artistry of Sophie Green (violin), Nicole Robson (cello) and Adam Weikert (double bass).
