Fanfare for the Common Man" is a song by the English progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), from the group's 1977 Works Volume I album. Adapted by Keith Emerson from Aaron Copland's 1942 piece of the same name, it is one of their most popular and enduring pieces. ELP had previously adapted Copland's "Hoedown" for the band's Trilogy album in 1972

Great tribute to ELP and their version of it. One of the best and most dramatic interpretations of "Fanfare for the Common man" of the Mexican-American composer Aron Copeland. Racer5 месяцев назад. A fanfare is a short, showy, piece of music usually played for a special event. It is often played to announce the arrival of an important person, such as a king, queen or presidential leader. Fanfares are usually played by trumpets or French horns and other brass instruments, often with drums. The word "fanfare" can also mean an event with a high amount of publicity, even if there is no actual music.
