Mark Fosson Signed to John Fahey's Takoma Records in '77, those recordings were released in 2006 as "The Lost Takoma Sessions" on Drag City. In 2007 Fosson released "JESUS ON A GREYHOUND" on Big Otis Records. An homage to his home state, "kY', was released in 2015 and his newest album, "SOLO GUITAR" is on Drag City Records

Americana songwriter and guitarist Mark Fosson made his first acoustic recordings for John Fahey's Takoma Records label in the late 1970s. Sadly, Takoma folded before Fosson's debut could be released, and the tracks didn't see the light of day until Drag City released them in 2006 as LOST TAKOMA SESSIONS. Those familiar with Fahey's brand of acoustic, rhythmically sophisticated folk will immediately take to these early Fosson tracks, which feature an artistic, technically advanced approach to rootsy blues and country guitar structures.

Mark Steed Fosson (May 16, 1950 – November 2, 2018) was an American singer-songwriter and American primitive guitarist who grew up in eastern Kentucky, where he began writing songs while he was still in his early teens. He got his start in the mid to late 1960s, playing in local rock bands until going into service with the Air Force in 1971, and returning home around 1974.
