Come Fly with Me is an album by American singer Frank Sinatra, released in 1958. Sinatra's first collaboration with arranger/conductor Billy May, Come Fly with Me was designed as a musical trip around the world. Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen wrote the title track at Sinatra's request.

Come fly with me, let's float down to Peru In llama land, there's a one man band, and he'll toot his flute for you Come fly with me, let's take off in the blue. Once I get you up there, where the air is rarefied We'll just glide, starry-eyed Once I get you up there I'll be holding you so near You may hear angels cheer 'cause we're together  . Weather wise, it's such a lovely day You just say the words and we'll beat the birds down to Acapulco Bay It's perfect for a flying honeymoon, they say Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly Pack up, let's fly away. Pack a small bag. More on Genius. About Come Fly With Me.

Come Fly with Me" is a 1957 popular song composed by Jimmy Van Heusen, with lyrics by Sammy Cahn. Come Fly with Me" was written for Frank Sinatra, and was the title track of his 1958 album of the same name. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album, describing adventures in exotic locales, in Bombay, Peru and Acapulco Bay respectively. It subsequently became part of Sinatra's concert repertoire, and would feature in numerous performances. Frank Sinatra: Come Fly with Me - (1958).

Come Fly With Me Lyrics. Come fly with me to a place where love has never been before And you know.

Come Fly With Me became Frank’s first album to make the British album charts, which were inaugurated on 8 November 1958 (its title track had already made its mark on the singles chart, on 13 September).

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away, If you can use some exotic booze. Album Come Fly With Me (1958). Come fly with me, let's float down to Peru In llama land there's a one-man band And he'll toot his flute for you Come on fly with me, let's take off in the blue. Once I get you up there where the air is rarified We'll just glide, starry-eyed Once I get you up there I'll be holding you so near You may hear all the angels cheer 'cause we're together

Let's fly away! If you can use Some exotic booze There's a bar in far Bombay Come Fly With Me! Let's fly! Let's fly away. Sammy said sure, why not? Commissioning someone to write a title song for an album was unusual in 1957. It was the first time Frank had done it, and, as far as I can tell, it was the first time any singer had done it. But Cahn & Van Heusen would go on to write another half-dozen specially commissioned LP title tracks for Frank over the next few years: Only The Lonely, Come Dance With Me, No One Cares, Ring-a-Ding-Ding!, September Of My Years and the unused Come Waltz With Me. But this first song was their entrée into what would become a lucrative niche market.
