Catherine "Kate" Bush CBE (born 30 July 1958) is an English singer-songwriter and record producer. Bush came to notice in 1978 when, aged 19, she topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first female artist to achieve a UK number one with a self-written song.

In March 2014, Bush announced plans to perform 15 shows in London in August and September that year. The shows sold out so quickly that a further seven were immediately added, with all shows selling out in 15 minutes. Before the Dawn was recorded during that run of 22 sold-out shows at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Kate’s bass player and studio engineer DEL PALMER is joining The Kate Bush Song Book for some special dates across Ireland this October. The very same guy who created the bass lines on All The Love, The Sensual World, Kashka From Baghdad and so many others is going to perform them live, in many cases for the first time ever, with Mandy on vocals and Michael on piano. In Del’s own words, ‘I wanted to celebrate 40 years of Kate’s music by working on some of her lesser-known songs with Mandy and Michael.

It was released only in Japan on 6 February 1978 by EMI Music Japan reaching number 1. Written by Bush and produced by Andrew Powell, the song is a tribute to Lindsay Kemp, her mime teacher. Moving" opens with a whale song sampled from Songs of the Humpback Whale, an LP including recordings of whale vocalizations made by Dr. Roger S. Payne.
