Little Richard's Greatest Hits (or Great Hits) is an album of Little Richard songs re-recorded in 1964 and first released by Vee-Jay Records in January 1965. It features updated versions of twelve of his best-known songs originally recorded in the 1950s for Specialty Records. Some of these re-recordings use different musical arrangements, including unusual syncopation, tambourine and jazz horns.

Complete sua coleção de Little Richard. Different packaging of terribly produced live album, released initially in the USA, in 1967, for Modern Records. Original 1965 live session from Atlanta Georgia nearly ruined by careless overdubbing of added audience sounds and poor mixing which pushes back the band. There are still 5-6 exciting cuts, incl. an awesome bring it on back to me (Sam Cooke song ), a live cover of his recent hit bama lama bama loo , and a terrific cover of Bonie Maronie. Ace records has the original, undubbed session ready to go, but it’s reported Richard will not allow its first CD issue

Among its twelve tracks, the album contains seven of Cline's Top 10 country hits between 1957 and 1963. In 1971, MCA consolidated the New York-based Decca and Kapp subsidiary labels, plus the California-based Uni label into MCA Records based in Universal City, California. The three labels maintained their identities for a short time but were retired in favor of the MCA label in 1973. Upon Cline's induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973, the album was reissued by MCA Records and went gold all over again.

Biography by Richie Unterberger. The wildest and arguably the greatest and most influential of the '50s rock & roll singers, notoriously covered by white artists.

This album exhibits all the factors of a typical Little Richard performance: a simplistic but effective back-up band; enthusiastic audience participation; Richard’s frenzied singing, shouting, piano-pounding, and delightful ego-rapping: I want you to know that I am the best lookin’ man in show busines. et’s have a good time because mah music is the healin’ musi. ah music is the healin’ music that make the dumb and the deef hear and talk, OW! OW! OW! And the audience just eats it right up. Perhaps the best thing about this album, which was recorded in February, 1967, is that it doesn’t.
