The Velvet Underground was an American rock band formed in 1964 in New York City by singer/guitarist Lou Reed, t John Cale, guitarist Sterling Morrison, and drummer Angus MacLise (replaced by Moe Tucker in 1965). The band was initially active between 1965 and 1973, and was briefly managed by the pop artist Andy Warhol, serving as the house band at the Factory and Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable events from 1966 to 1967.

But Lou Reed's lyrical exploration of the demimonde is as keen here as on any album he ever made, while displaying a warmth and compassion he sometimes denied his characters. The song doesn’t strike me as all that well. written and I wouldn’t recommend this as one of the tracks to look into for The Velvet Underground. I’m actually somewhat surprised because generally Reed puts out music which is significantly better than this track: this song honestly strikes me as if it was rushed to be put on the album and serves only as filler, not really something worth listening to.

Easy to listen to and deep I listen to these CD's at the end of my day when I want to chill. The Velvet Underground hit another peak in their self-titled album.
