Vök is an Icelandic indie-electronica band formed in Reykjavík. Hailing from Hafnarfjörður, and composed of three members; Margrét Rán (vocalist), Andri Már (saxophonist) and Einar. To this day we don’t know what prompted Andri to burp up the name Vök but it called out to us and just stuck with us! And we like the meaning of it! Its one of those words used to describe something and has no equivalent in English.

Vök are sharing spine-tingling new single "Show Me" - it arrives ahead of their Iceland Airwaves performance next weekend. On "Show Me", which is "about seeing the beauty in imperfections", the Icelandic outfit grab you by the hand and guide you through an icy-cool wilderness - Margrét Rán's fluid vocals temper the downtempo shadows, and the results are beautiful. There's a sensual streak through the three-and-a-bit minutes, with bold hip-hop percussion, juddery samples, whispers, and slithering basslines recalling FKA twigs' abstract R&B.
