Metal Flake Mother were one of the more modest spokes comprising the mega wheel that was the North Carolina indie scene circa the early '90s. Never heard of 'em? Well, for better or worse, not all Tar Heel combos could rise to the stature of Superchunk and The Connells. As for what they were all about, Carrboro's MFM were practitioners of the lopsided pop thing, and when they set sail for the Java Sea in 1991, they failed to dock for a subsequent album
Mutter (German for "mother") is the third album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 2 April 2001 through Motor Music. The album's cover image is a photograph of a dead fetus, which was taken by Daniel & Geo Fuchs. The album has yielded six singles which, to date, are the most released from any Rammstein album. From September to December 1999, the band rented the house Weimar in Heiligendamm on the Baltic Sea for pre-production

In this bomb-ass track from the Lethal Injection album, Ice Cube tells a tale of fleeing from a police helicopter, also known as a ghetto bird. The beat of this song, which samples Funky Worm by Ohio Players, was used in instrumental form in an early scene in the hood classic Menace II Society. The track does not appear on the film’s soundtrack album, however. Even though it wasn’t released as a single, Ghetto Bird is one of the most well-known and popular tracks from the Lethal Injection album. Ghetto Bird" Track Info.

"Metal Flake Mother. Who are these guys. Why are they so scary. What are they talking about 'digging a hole in front of the television set, I've got a shotgun triggered, ready to blow you away.' What causes this? Rough childhoods? Pesky sisters? Well, here's four songs from a new Chapel Hill band, signed after their 4th show. Imagine if the Pixies could play their instruments--maybe that's the sound. All four guys write and sing and are generally fairly imposing. These four songs are all we have to tantilize you with so far, enjoy."
