International Art Biennale, travelled to Zambia to play at the British High Commissioner's Home in Lusaka and the International Arts Festival in Livingstone, played at the opening of the English Magic Exhibitions in the UK as well as many other events. More recently, the Melodians recorded a new CD at BBC Maida Vale Studios. The CD is called 'Melodians Magic' and contains the English Magic recording as well as audience favourites from their own repertoire. This CD was released in December.

Charged with representing Great Britain at the 55th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia which launches this week, Jeremy Deller has turned to the country's rich and varied musical heritage for inspiration.

Actor Gary Oldman, who was a close friend of Bowie's, performed it in tribute on 8 February 2016 at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles.

Having performed at the now legendary The Vinyl Factory & British Council party on the Isla Vignole, Optimo were particularly taken with The Melodians Steel Orchestra cover of acid house classic "Voodoo Ray" that featured on the English Magic EP and elected to remix it. The resultant production is a joyous piano laden house stomper that feels and sounds quite evocative of the rare Frankie Knuckles remix of A Guy Called Gerald's original version. There are instrumental and 'bonus beats' versions too and Deller contributes some distinctive artwork that riffs off the.
