Dead's first band was Morbid. With him on vocals they recorded demo 'December Moon' in 1987. Later he left the band and joined Mayhem. 1991 he commited suicide. Euronymous took some photos of corpse (one of them was used on infamous cover of 'Dawn of the Black Hearts') and made neclace from pieces of his skull. Mayhem's bassman Necrobutcher was displeased with this and left the band. He was replaced by Varg Vikernes (Count Grishnackh from Burzum). With him band recorded in 1993 their masterpiece 'De Mysteriis Dom, Sathanas'. Before release of album conflict between Varg and Euronymous started. 1993 Vikernes killed Euronymous.
